Yes, it is a problem, when children spit.If possible let his dad give him a talking to and give him just a few smacks on the pant covered bum or bare leg. If he continues smack his bum/leg, same as before but a bit harder and longer.Now deprive him of something he likes: 1) Watching his favorite TV show 2) Outing etc.
When he behaves himself, praise him and say, 'Ah my boy is growing up.'

First explain to him that we dont do these things.,then turn him around and give 2 firm swats to his buttocks,warn him:if it happens again its gonna be 'pants down'.Now,if it happens again,take him to the nearest table,lower his pants & his briefs make him bend over and WHACK! WHACK! youll be amazed at the results !

Talk with your boy about his fault and give him a warning, but don't punish him. He should apologize to the other child, this is the most impotant part. If he do it again, you can punish him in the following way: take all electronics (TV, computer and so on) away from him for one odr two days, this should be work.

He should be brought into the bathroom and have his mouth washed out with soap! Next, take down his jeans and briefs and spank him, hard! Don't use your hand, use a belt and give him at least 15 strokes. When he is crying, and you feel he's in enough pain, tell him if he does this again to expect another mouth washing with soap and as hard, if not harder spanking. This should stop his spitting1
