tips how to handle a 4 year old boy he doesn't want to go to school? please help me

I have a only 4 year old boy having a nursery this year,before the class begin I was sent him to a summer class so that he can mingle with kids before the school days.During her summer class he excited always to go to school,but his in summer is in the mall,lots of toys & playground with slide.But when school days came first 4 days he is very excited to go to school but in another day came he suddenly not like going to school,and every morning he used to refused by going to school he make a big deal by going to school,he was crying every morning,he doesn't want to wear his uniform,he don't like to take a bath because he know after he take a bath he will sent him to school.I'm having a high blood for him,because of my high blood I spank & hit him,but every time I spank & hit him ,I cried because I cannot thought that this is happened to him for not liking to go in school.I was hopeless to him,I was disappointed of him.I don't know what I'm going to do with him?! I was decided to stopped to school? is this right my decision? please help me,I dont know what to do.I was doing all my best but it was unsuccessful.
