One Sunday after church, I asked my kids what they learned. My daughter who is in the pre-school age class said, "We learned about Jesus". Excited that she remembered, I asked her "What did Jesus do?" Her reply was, "I don't know Mommy, he wasn't there."
that was just to cute my 8 year old son was standing here and just laughing his head off then ask what she mean JESUS WAS NOT THERE!! he screamed does jesus go to here church!! we laughed and laughed....

I remember that my kid said something similar when she was about 3. Technically, your kid is not wrong. But of course we should teach her that Jesus is with us even if we cannot see Him physically with our human eye.
