Slow Men at Work

by Taina
(Angeles City)

My mom and I together with my 7year old cousin was driving on the road when we saw some men with helmets digging on the side of the road, about a meters from us. Obviously, another construction on the road. There's a sign behind the little hole that says, "Slow" and then under the sign it says "Men at work". I saw my cousin turn his head and look after it eventhough we are quite far. He was thinking deep, I thought he was fascinated by the workers with blue helmets, so I ask him." Do you want to be a worker like'em?"
He answered me unrelevantly, "I think the hole will not finish fast." "Why?" I asked, challenging him. "Because the workers are slow and they even put sign for it. I don't want to work slow when I grow up."

My mom and I laughed at hard. He was pertaining to the "Slow men at work" sign.
