Teaching
an autistic child can be a very challenging experience leaving
parents confused and frustrated. However, with the proper
education and support systems, families can learn to thrive.
There
are many ways to help an autistic child learn. Perhaps one
way is that autistic children may fixate on something they
enjoy, such as cars. Incorporating this fixation into their
lessons by including stories of cars, math problems involving
cars, and so on gives motivation to learn.
Has autism touched your family or the family of someone you know? It can be challenging and the child may requires 'modified' training methods. Many parents regret the “missed milestones ” of their autistic child. Its not unusual for them to think so.
