One Saturday I was up cooking breakfast and my grandson Isaiah was running and playing just as he does in any other normal day but you see this Saturday turned out to be different. Something happened that changed Saturday's forever. A visit from God. There was a preacher going door to door to spread the gospel. I took time to step out to speak with him and the few people that were with him. I noticed that the grandson was coming and going from the door so I kept making eye contact with him and smiling just as I always do. You see Isaiah is a very smart 3 year old. He learned how to work the computer before age 3. He has just turned 3 in July. But to explain what happened next was to learn exactly how smart he is. Isaiah had been running back and forth hearing words her and there. After the preacher and I had said our goodbyes I went back inside and Isaiah said to everyone, Nana was talking to God. We all laughed and went on about our usual day but throughout the day all Isaiah would say was Nana talked to God. We sat him down and explained to him that Nana was talking to one of God's helpers, Isaiah said "no it was God. Well throughout the week this really stuck with Isaiah because every now and then he would say Nana was talking to God. By now not thinking that we would ever see the preacher again. To our surprise the same preacher showed up again on Saturday two weeks later. This time it was a bit different because I was on the phone so my daughter went to the door. Isaiah was running inside playing just as he always does. Being obserevant he was because after Shae came in from talking Isaiah started telling us that Shae was talking to God. Once again we explained to him that it was not God it was God's helper. So me being the Nana and the way I am I wanted to introduce Isaiah to the man that he thinks is God. We slipped Isaiah's shoes on and Isaiah and I took off down the street to go find this man Isaiah keeps calling God. We walked the whole neighborhood over and the preacher had already made his way out of the neighborhood. Once we made it back to the house Isaiah looked up at me and said " Nana we did not find God " I wanted to laugh so hard but I held it in because I know tha this has touched Isaiah and I did not want to dicourage him in any way. I then told him that the man will be back then Nana will let you meet this man you call God. With Isaiah not being outside with both visits and Isaiah only hearing bits and pieces through the glass door about our conversations about God. He is truely convinced that we have been speaking to God outside on saturday's. It does not take much to make a believer out of our little ones. We are blessed to have Isaiah in our lives and we enjoy spending time with him. He likes to say grace and he loves to sing. WE ARE BLESSED This story has been added to the other stories from Nana so that others can see that even when you think your little ones are not listening, when truely they are. Instead of arms wide open in this case it is ears wide open.
