My 6year old grade one daughter is not copying at school

l have a grade 1 daughter who is failing to cope in class.When l go to the school each time the teacher is always complaining that she doesn't finish her work,she doesn't respond when asked questions in class,also l think she is not bonding with the teacher,last week she didn't write her test because she lost her pencil and she didn't tell her ma'am she doesn't have a pencil.When l do homework with her she is so brilliant,so now the teacher is saying she won't proceed to grade2 next year.she blames me for not helping my child.l do help her,so what do l do also.Must l stop work and be a full time mum so l can be there 24/7.Pliz help.l am in Pretoria South Africa
