My son is 12 and started 1st year in September and he has a real problem making friends , he wouldn't be that outgoing so i have tried to coax him to take an interest in after school activities etc.. to find other boys that he has things in common with but sometimes he just says that no one likes him , he is an only child and doesn't have cousins his age or anything. There aren't a lot of youth services in our area.... any ideas i'm a bit worried

I HAVE A DAUGHTER WHO IS AT A SCHOOL WERE SHE DOESNT WANT TO GO THIS SCHOOL YEAR B/C THE ONLY FRIEND SHE HAS WERE THE ONES WHO NO ONE ELSE IN THE CLASS WANTS TO BE FRIENDS WITH BOTH ARE MOVIN OR GOING TO ANOTHER SCHOOL. MY DAUGHTER IS VERY ACTIVE WITH AFTERSCHOOL ACTIVITIES BUT HAS A HARD TIME WITH FRIENDS. SHE ALWAYS BEEN A WITHDRAWN PERSON BUT WOULD ALSO TALK WITH ANYONE AND CAN CARRY CONVERSATIONS. SHE JUST HAS A HARD TIME MAKING FRIENDS AND IT HURTS HER SHE IS SO SAD AND CRYS OFTEN ALONG WITH MYSELF CAUSE IF HURTS ME TO SEE HER LIKE THIS AND I DONT KNO WHAT TO DO OR SAY. i am 12 and i go to school a new school in about end of april holidays and i found it hard to make friends its just the end of school holidays on the 12 and the first day on the 13 and i went back to school and its like the people i sit with dont wanna talk to me and i just sit in my bedroom crying like now its just lunch i hate cause i cant make any friends
