Is it all a problem of a single/ lonly child?

by Raji
(Mumbai)

My son is 15 years old, very smart and intelligent. But may be because he is our only son, he has become very arrogant. He is very stubborn since childhood. We both ( me and my husbond)are worried about him due to his wierd behavior sometimes. He thinks parents are there just to fulfill his demands. He keeps ordering servants and keeps them always on toes. If in case we try to tell him something, he doesnt like. He doesnt like to be corrected as he thinks correcting him meaning insulting him.If we shout at him seldom for his mistakes or misbehavior, he acts as a rebellion, and talks as if he is shouting/ talking to a begger /stranger on a street. He is a happy child otherwise and a very good boy. I want to know if anyone is facing the same problem like us. Please advice me , what should be the parent's stand in such cases.
