I blow up at my child when i am in a hurry. How do i control my anger?

When i am in a hurry, i blow up over the slightest misdeed of my child. It seems that either i have a problem with myself or that my child just irritates me at the most inappropriate time. Whatever that is, what can i do to control my own anger?

I've been counting to ten sometimes twice and if that does not work I wisper instead of yelling . My child then knows I stressed and to back off . like as for thing later. Make shore you let him or her know that when you start counting that your getting pisted and stressed. Hope it helps !

I know exactly what you mean I am guilty of the same action. I have tried to control this by limiting the occassions when I am in a hurry mostly in the morning with the school run. I try to get up half an our early to make sure I am ready then I can devote my time to making sure my son is ready to leave when I am. Puting the clock 10 minutes eary also gives me a few extra minutes. Not fool proof by any means but it has reduced a bit of tension.
