I have a 4 year old daughter who is very particular about getting herself dressed.. (that part is fine). The problem being is that she hates jeans and is VERY picky about what she wears. She will put something on, decide its not right, change, and before you know it, its been an hour and what she has decided on is completely what you told her NO to. As soon as we come home at the end of the day, she changes again and then again for bed.
I have tried to make her choose her clothes the night before and stick to what she has picked and the next day its not what she wants - the tantrums start. And the hour of changing starts all over.
I want my kids to express themselves and make their own decisions but on a daily basis I can't go through this. I end up losing my temper and yelling and then I have to physically dress her crying and screaming the whole time. I don't want to be this kind of parent but I can't have my child do this every morning.
Do I only put 3 or 4 outfits in her closet at most and make her choose from those?
