My 9 year old son, has recently taken his mid year exams..throughout the 4 days exams, he has been complaining about having headaches & tummyaches..he then completed his exams paper quickly (completed in less than an hour) and called me to pick him up from school..when he reached home, he would be fine!
This emotional side of him always happens during 1st few days of school reopen as well. Notice he just cant adapt to new schedule/or whenever there is any changes in his schedule..
Perhaps you can help him be exam-smart! by: Rachel
Hi there, It can be pretty normal for a kid to behave in this way. But there are certainty some tips you can give to your child to make sure that he can cope well with exams.
Most of the time, it could be due to his lack of confidence in going through the exams. Never pressurize him into achieving. This can make him feel even more stressful. Results are not everything...
One of the things i always tell my child is to start to prepare as early as possible. Then during the exam, handle the easy questions first...Leave the tough ones later so that he will not be too conscious of the time.
