I have an ever growing problem that i desperately need help with. I have three children, two of which with a girl that I am no longer with. I am a young parent at 23 years old, the mother is 21. The problem is that the mother of the two children has no sense of good family values, or discipline. My kids spend Friday-Mon.morning with me, and the rest of the week with their mother, which is 5pm and on due to the fact that their in daycare at my old church. Everytime the mother drops them off my son hits people in his class, yells, doesnt listen to his teachers and is just outright out of control. When hes with me and I drop him off he acts the complete opposite, obviously he has his bad times but for the most hes very well behaved like his sister. To give you an example of our differences in parenting, for christmas she bought my son Spiderman 3 and the dark knight(the batman movie), who in their right mind buys a 3 year old child two pg-13 rated movies? She dresses my 4 year old daughter in shorts that go up to her butt,and a swim suit made for a 25 year old cover model. Up until today I have been trying to deal with this problem without outside help but earlier on the way to Chuck E Cheese, My kids were playing simon says in the back and my son said simon says touch your peter. Sometimes when my kids are at their moms house with her and her outcast friends i just want to break into tears and start smashing everything to bits, i just cant take it anymore. One time when we were at my kids mothers, mothers house(My 2 childrens grandmother) she refused to take her 13 year old son to the movies and he smashed her tail light with a bat. I dont want my son to turn out like this, I slowly see him becoming an out of control person who has not a care in the world for people around him. Ive tried recent times to confront her about this but all she does is call me retarded, flips out, calls me names and says well get over it we have different outlooks. How am i supposed to get over the slow demise of my childs life? Please someone help me out, I feel like im 1 man trying to defeat an army of 1 million.
'Needs Help', unless you have custody of your children and the finance to support them-the problem of the bad mother influence remains. The children concerned apparently are 3 and 4 years of age and out-of -control. So there are several things: A) Try to seek custody of the kids. B) Get proper advice from a Government Agency. C) Seek help from family members to support you. D) Don't despair; it makes things worse; just do the best you can. E) Any silly thing the mother buys the kids, take it away while they are with you. (Now this, with all due respect, it is really difficult to grasp precisely what your problem is since you ramble on somewhat and I really don't see the picture clearly). Having followed the above suggestions and also showing love and concern as well as guidance to the children, you probably have done all you can do. At that stage remember that children are resilient and time changes all things. So hope and pray for the best. Also, ultimately it is your previous lifestyle which got you into this predicament, by the looks of things. So by acting from now on responsibly and with integrity, things will hopefully work out better than expected. All the best!
