I just received custody of my 7.old son.I've had no contact with him since he was an infant. He had been in 5 different foster homes.Since I've had him i have discovered he was behind in school. The teacher gave him extra work to do to bring up his grades. He is almost 2 levels behind. The extra work doesn't seem to help much and I have a hard time getting him to do it, but I continue to push him into doing it. Sometimes it takes all night,5:00pm till 9:00pm. Also he has started acting up in school. He gets his name on the board almost dayly. I"ve taken his games away,T.V., everything he enjoys.I've made him write sentances 50 times,that he will not behave bad in class. Now he has hit another classmate with a bananna peel. I've done eveything I can think of ,but nothing seems to help. What should I do now?
