Help dealing with my 11 year old son, who is extremely rude and disrespectful with everyone, other kids, parents and other adults. He is ADHD and and is on medicine for it. He is also on medicine for angry management. As long as he is getting his way everything is fine. The minute I say no to something, punish him or simply anything he doesn't agree with or want he turns into a completely diffent child, his tone of voice is so hateful... I simply do not know what or how to take charge of this growing problem. I am a desperate parent and fell as though at any moment I will go completely crazy. He is only only child and I love him so very much. Please any help would be so greatly appreciated. I want my son son to be happy, but understand boundaries and rules....
My 11 year old son had the same problems, he was on meds and everything....bottom line, drop the medication and old fashioned privilege taking.It was hard at first enforcing the no tv, no games, no phone, etc, but after a few weeks, it changed, He realized that he has no excuse for bad behavior and there is no tolerance.
