8 yr old son is constantly going to the nurses office

I got a call from the school nurse yesterday letting me know that my 8 yr old son has been in her office 3 days in a row this week, twice last week, and three times the week before that. He suffers from migraines and is going there telling her that he feels like he's getting a headache. In the 2 yrs he's had migraines he has never had one during the school day, always late afternoon/evening time. The nurse does have a bottle of ibuprophen in her office with a note from my son's pediatrician stating that if he is getting a headache she can administer a dose of this medicine. He has had a history this year of going to the nurses office for little or no reason and I've had many conversations with him as to why he's doing this. Also told him that it is important that he doesn't get a dose of medicine if he doesn't really need it. He has told me time after time that he's not trying to get out of a class, that no one is bothering him, there are no issues with his teacher, etc. I have spoken to his teacher about this as well and she sees nothing going on in the classroom that would make her think that he is trying to get out of work, etc. I don't know how I can get him to stop going to the nurses office when he isn't really ill. Has anybody gone through similar situation with their children and have any advice? Thank you.
