6 yr old daughter complains of sore throat at school

by M. S.
(georgia)

My daughters teacher has told me that Kait complains she has a sore throat and does not feel good throughout the day everyday to any one that will listen (teacher says she ignores it) and even convinced a visiting teacher to take her to the schools sick clinic. This started Friday of last week and when I took her to the doctor because of the sore throat and her ear hurt she did do a strep test. It came back negative and the doctor seemed to think it was a viral thing because her throat was red. The classroom does have a musty smell and the carpet is very old. I am not sure if it is that or Kait just wanting attention or if something could be wrong. She has not had this problem before. Has anyone else had a similar experience or any advice.
Thanx
