My grandaughter whom I have always spent alot of time with and has never been a child to cry over silly things has become a crier and has more recently started hiding in a cupboard, saying she needs to be alone and refusing to speak to anyone i.e myself or her aunt whom she also has a good relationship with. There has recently been some tension between my other daughter and myself and the father. But we have tried to keep it from my granddaughter although I cannot be sure the same can be said for her dad. There has been a few months between the disagreement and recent problems of crying and hiding but I am very concerned I feel that something is wrong b ut dont know what to do. I havee spoken to her mother but she says she hasnt seen or heard anything that could explain the behaviour. But by brooching the subject with her I have upset her although I know we will get through this hiccupo as she will realise that my concern is real. Meantime I dont know what to do about my granddaughter. Can anyone help.
