15 yr old daughter won't go to school
I, too, have this trouble with my 13 year old. She is by far taller and stronger than I and when she decides she is not going - it is simple as that, she is NOT going.
We live in SK and, like AB, it is the law to go. Because she is highly intellegent, she thinks about a mile or two ahead of me...SO, here is what I am doing now...(bear with me...)
In SK, years and years ago when truancy was more of anissue, the government withheld a part of or all of the CCTB. It was the parents responsibility to make sure the kid went or you lost your family allowance.
The twin's allowance comes directly from my CCTB. They know this. Basically, I have used this as a way to get her to go. You don't go...I don't get child tax...hence, you don't get allowance.
If you don't go, you get zero allowance for that month or whatever you personally do.
Now, I guess because your daughter could legally work at Tim Horton's or something, she would make her own money. However, that is something I thought I would share... :)
