13 and 16 year old share room, 13 year old very unhappy and mean about it

We have had to downsize,my two daughters ages 16 and 13 now share a room. The 13 year old is very unhappy, mean and angry about this situaton. any ideas or suggestions appreciated.

Kathy, yes this can be a problem. Children the age of your girls like privacy of sorts.
Consider a simple room divider. Discuss the idea with your daughters so that they are involved. This could mean and actual wooden or metal room divider or even a pretty decorative curtain. Or if there is a garage or verandah, a bed could be placed there and the girls could switch over once-a-month. Let's know how it went.
