10 yr daughter lying and not competing her work(studies/class work)

My daughter is 10 yrs she was always a rank holder till 4th standard she was in a british curriculum and now we shifter her to indian curriculum in grade 5 due to financial problems. Nov 8th 2009 i delivered a baby boy she was very happy till her second term she got average marks. i understood her problems and i informed her this year somhow handle and get atlest passing mark. on her science exam day two days before she said i studied science and i said ok i will ask you and then i cam to know she lost her book in school and she was swearing on god and said i have no idea mom i just now studied and kept it in my bag. After insisting that you are lying then she said the truth. next day she said science portion was 2 lesson and she said to me its one last min teacher said study fast this lesson prtion is also going o come in exam so i said how this is possible i will inform the supervisor then she said again truth mom i lied. she failed in one subject and she lied again one afte the other lie is continuing and i didnt shout her or beat her infact i gave her advice made her understand but still no sign of telling truth. her all the notes are incomplet teachers giving remark on the book incomplete and she not completing final exams are going to be in march and she ahs not complete what should i do. and her friends are not ready to give the book because exams are on head. she has not studied how to help her i have no idea. she got this month her first period. all i can understand but how i can make her study and pass because i dont have time because i have a cranky baby who is 3 months and i cannot attend her.
